Mission to the Edge of Space: Live

Live stream for the worldbreaking attempt of human skydiving. Felix Baumgartner, an Austrian Sky Diver, will risk his life to jump from 120,000 ft from Space.

We shall witness a feat right on the boundaries of human endurance. Felix will rush towards the Earth from the Stratosphere, achieving supersonic speeds. Supervised by the Red Bull Stratos team, Felix Baumtgartner will break the world record for the worlds heights jump. Up until 1960 the record was at 102,800 feet. However breaking records is not the main goal of this endeavor. All scientific data collected from a special pressurized suit wore by Felix, will be shared with US Space Development Programs.

broadcasting can be found on: www.redbullstratos.com/live/ or on TVN24 in Poland.

  1. Today, the launch of the Red Bull Stratos capsule had to be stopped at 11:42 a.m. local time in Roswell, New Mexico just before Felix Baumgartner's giant 30 million cubic foot balloon had been fully inflated and made ready for take off. From early morning the team postponed the launch due to strong winds at 700 feet - the balloon's top - waiting for the right weather window to open. The launch was scheduled for 11:40 a.m., the balloon inflation had begun, and then gusty winds picked up and made a launch impossible.
